What is a skin tag?

Skin tags are like tiny flaps of skin, shaped like a tear or diamond, which are attached to the main surface of the skin by a narrow piece of skin tissue. Like all fibrous growths, they receive their blood supply and nourishment from the dermal layer below. Although generally harmless, they can be unsightly and very annoying. The good news is that they can be easily removed with little or no discomfort.

How is a skin tag removed?

The skin tag is removed with the use of radio frequency. High frequency/Radio frequency technology utilizes a current that is attracted to liquids on the skin surface. This technology enables rapid and precise removal of not only skin tags but many other minor epidermal irregularities such as telangietasis, spider naevi, cherry angiomas, fibromas, hyperpigmentation, milia, cholesterol deposits, and acne pimples.

How many treatments will I need?

Most skin tags are removed with one treatment. However, the number of treatments necessary will vary depending on the areas being treated, the number of skin tags needing removal, as well as other inherited conditions and hormonal activity.
