Because it is effective, safe and quick,  laser hair removal has become an increasingly popular way of removing unwanted hair. Laser energy targets and neutralizes the hair follicles.  Multiple treatments are needed to achieve the desired reduction.The most common areas treated are the underarms, bikini area, legs, upper lip and chin. A secondary benefit is a much smoother appearance to the skin in areas treated.

What is the treatment like?

A mild warming sensation will be felt during the procedure and there may be mild redness in the treatment area immediately following. A topical numbing cream may be applied for a more comfortable procedure.

How many treatments are needed.

The number of treatments depends on the size and location treated. Normally, 4-6 treatments are needed with 3-4 weeks between each treatment. Yearly follow-ups are needed for maintenance.
